 Batting Cages:

  • Mariner Square Health Club

  • Bladium Sports Club
Two new batting cages have just opened up out at the Bladium sports complex out at Alameda Point (the old navy base). The cages use new cutting-edge Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology that displays an image of a pitcher winding up and releasing just as the ball is "thrown". This allows the batter to see an actual pitcher's wind up and delivery, instead of having to anticipate or guess when the pitching machine will shoot out the ball.

The cages are open:
--  Monday through Friday, 5am to Midnight
--  Saturday & Sunday, 6am to 10pm
Rates:
--  1 token (25 pitches) $3.00
--  8 token special $22.00
--  Half Hour - $32.00
--  Full Hour - $55.00

Alameda Babe Ruth and all teams and individuals participating therein shall receive a fifty percent (50%) discount on the first usage of the batting cages.
This offer extends to teams as well as players and is applicable to any and all batting programs available at Bladium (see the web site), from a single, one token session to a full one hour rental. Use your discount wisely.

There are also discounts if you're a Bladium Club Member

I grew up playing baseball in the East Bay. I have 30-years experience as a player in Hayward and still play competitive ball in the MABL out of San Francisco.  I've personally played up and down the state and have attended a number of baseball hitting camps.  I've also been coaching in Babe Ruth for Washington Manor for the past five years.

  • Pitching Coaches:
